Offered for athletes in elementary, high school and post secondary. Any age is welcome if it is a fit for your needs.
Sessions are 50 min long and conducted over Zoom.
We discuss your ideal future outcomes and pain points in sport and then work through tools and techniques that will increase your sport performance, mental resilience and allow you to performance at your best while having FUN in sport!
Minimum commitment of 2 sessions, with ongoing sessions available on a cadence that is supportive to you and your schedule.

What is sport and mental performance coaching?
As a former USport athlete, I understand the unique challenges faced by athletes and those that perform in competitive environments.
Performance isn't just about physical training; it's about fine-tuning your mental game.
We'll work together to boost your focus, motivation and emotional regulation and mental resilience using evidence-based tools that strengthen mental fitness and have a postive impact on your overall mental health and sport performance.
I often incorporate somatic and body awareness tools like breathworth, visualization and mindfulness techniques with the young athletes I work with.
Is coaching or therapy more appropriate?
The main difference between therapy and coaching is that therapists diagnose and treat mental health disorders; coaches do not. Therapists work to bring dysfunctional clients to a level of functioning, whereas coaches bring functioning clients into thriving.
Counseling is typically focused on the past while coaching is focused on future oriented actionable steps. Therapy is the right fit for addressing trauma and diagnosable mental health concerns; coaching works for taking action to improve in areas where things are not going as well as we might hope.
